Tejan Women Institution organized a Business Planning Training Workshop on 2 August 2025 at the Institution’s premises in Kampala, Uganda, with the participation of 13 small business owners and entrepreneurs. A total of 13 evaluation forms were collected. The workshop aimed to strengthen participants’ capacity in business planning and enhance their ability to develop effective business plans that support business growth and sustainability.
The training covered key topics including the concept of business planning, the importance of business plans, characteristics of a good business plan, the main components of a business plan, and the preparation of essential financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections. Participants also engaged in practical exercises to develop business plans tailored to their own enterprises.
Evaluation results showed a high level of satisfaction, with all participants reporting improved knowledge and skills in business planning. Participants indicated that they are now better equipped to develop business plans and financial statements that can support business growth and informed decision-making.
